...Interim...

Well, I have battalions of infantry assembled and primed, but my brushes are in a storage box and not the box I thought they were in. Thus, I am frantically going through every box I have...which are legion...looking for them. AND I am having to deal with Real Life issues that suddenly appeared, and which are consuming far more time than I wish they would.

Luckily, I have a box of Victrix French infantry showing up tomorrow, so I can assemble those lads, but I want to get painting asap.

Any able to recommend the Vallejo shades for shadowing and highlighting their Buff color?

Also, Beneath the Lily Banners or Black Powder for War of the Spanish Succession? Anyone? Anyone?

  1. BLB for WSS!! I'm going to use them for my Nine Years War armies, they're a great little set of rules, and seem to be perfect for the period. Don't know too much about Black Powder yet. I don't want to pay £30 and find out I don't like them!!

  3. Thanks, Ray, for the recommendation. I emailed the League of Augsburg in order to get the .pdf version of 1st edition. I will have to wait a month or two before the 2nd edition will be available in the States.

The thing about Black Powder is that I happen to know John Stallard, personally, and have met Rick Priestly. I like both of them, and I rolled dice against Stallard about a decade ago. I will probably get Black Powder in support of them.

However, I WILL try to get my group to us BLB. Thanks again!
