I am nearly done with the imagi-nation alternate history timeline. I will probably add a few more details to what I've already written out, meaning I am not going to make more significant changes to true history. Yet, I am considering writing a bit about more of the Anglo-Dutch War of 1702-1706, the Scottish Civil War, and James III's successful invasion of Ireland. As I want to keep that blog completely within theme, at least with the posts, I will try to refrain from discussing true history there.

Happily, I have worked out a way that I can use my WSS battalions with the imagi-nation in my alternate history, the Acts of Union in 1706-7 do not take place and thus the Union Jack isn't created. However, I figure that in my version of events, another Scottish house is raised to becoming the royal family of the Grand Principality of Dutch-Kent and they, along with friends and retainers, migrate to the principality with a contingent of English immigrants. Thus, this union between the two nationalities would be symbolized through ... the Union Jack. :)

I seem to remember seeing, somewhere, a paperdoll of an 18th century infantry figure that one could color in to show regimental colorings, but I cannot remember where I saw it. It may have been online, but I just don't know. I do know it was within the last year that I saw it. If any reader has a clue, then please fill me in.
